There are five sections (age ranges) in UK Scouting: Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network.

Each section has its own balanced programme of activities, badges and awards.

Supporting the above across the Spelthorne District are the following:
Young Leaders’ Scheme 14-18 Building leadership skills Part of the Explorers section, the Young Leaders’ Scheme Young gives young people the chance to take on a leadership role in one of the younger sections. District
Scout Active Support 18+ Flexible volunteering for adults Supporting Scouts in a wide range of roles from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group, to being a charity Trustee. District
Spelthorne Water Activities Team 18+ Run paddle sport activities A team of coaches and instructors who provide a variety of water based paddle sport activities at a scout group owned lake in Wraysbury and at other venues in the district. District
